FAITH : HOW TO GET WHAT YOU WANT BY FAITH

So this morning I was studying the bible and I received some revelation on Faith that I’ll like to share with you. The bible says without Faith no one can please God, and Faith is the key to receiving from God so it is important as believers and business owners that we understand Faith and know how to exercise it.

Luke 17: 5-7

5 “The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!" 6 And the Lord said, "If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you”.

The revelation I received from Luke 17:5 -7 was that Jesus response to the Apostle when they asked Him to increase their Faith shows that an increase in Faith is not what we need because even small Faith is enough to do mighty and extraordinary things. So His response sounded more like, “you guys don't get it, you are asking for an increase in faith when you don't even have the smallest of faith,  because if you do you will be moving mountains already”

So I began to ask myself what then are we missing? Does it mean we don't have Faith at all if we are not already moving mountains, if we are not already receiving what we asked, healing the sick, raising the dead, expanding our businesses etc. Because it appears all this will be possible even with the smallest of Faith.

So I read further down to verse 11-19 of the same chapter.

Luke 17-19

11 On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance 13 and lifted up their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us." 14 When he saw them he said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they went they were cleansed. 15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; 16 and he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. 17Then Jesus answered, "Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" 19 And he said to him, "Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”

Verse 19 caught my attention where Jesus told the grateful leper to rise up and go "YOUR FAITH has made you well" HE said. Jesus did not say I have healed you, He said the lepers Faith has made him well. This shows me "Our faith" is all we need to receive answers to our request from God. And we have a major role to play because it has to be YOUR FAITH not Jesus’s faith. My next question then was, do we really get what having Faith really means, have faith in what or in who? And the answer is we need to have Faith in Jesus. So if we really know Jesus and the power and authority he carries why then are we struggling with having Faith in Him? Or perhaps the Faith we have is faith in ourselves, our ability, our environment, the government etc. Because this are the only things or people that can fall and that we can be doubtful about. Jesus has never failed according to history, no where was it recorded in the bible that he was unable to change a situation or perform a miracle. So, if we simply have Faith in Jesus and what He is capable of doing then maybe we will trust Him enough to grant our request and let Him do the work like He has always done. He does not need our help analyzing the situation or strategizing on the manner in which it will happen.

So I’m encouraging you and myself to just have Faith in Him, His Power, His Authority, His Wisdom, His Strength, His love and Mercy, His Greatness, His Strength which is enough to grant us our desires that are in alignment with His will for our lives.

And if you are still struggling with this, I will remind you of the few miracles Jesus performed that were recorded in the bible. These are just the few ones the bible captured, because even the bible says that no book in the world is big enough to document the many miracles Jesus performed.

John 21:25

25  "Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written."

Jesus also told us as recorded in the bible that nothing is impossible for God to do.

Matthew 19:26

26 But Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

If you have Faith in God then all things are possible for you.

 Read them daily if you can to remind yourself of what God is capable of doing in your life and my hope is that this will give you the faith you need to move your mountains. Whether it is praying of the sick, raising the dead, starting a new business, expanding an existing one or starting a new career entirely,   you can achieve anything you desire even with small Faith in God.
